Setting My Intentions

It’s been a few months since I’ve embarked on this positivity journey. It is going quite well if I may say. I’ve been meditating more and making sure I set my intentions every day when I  get up and go to work. I don’t do it everyday simply because of my work/sleep schedule (most days I’m asleep all day), but I make sure I definitely do it on the day when I am awake and moving. I have seen a complete change in my mindset lately. I choose to be in control of my emotions instead of reacting to my environment all the time. This is something that I say in my mantra daily to really set my intentions for that day. The one day I didn’t set my intentions before I went to work, I felt off. Everything about that shift was off in the beginning. I started feeling stressed and overwhelmed for no reason. As soon as I recognized it, I stopped took a few deep breaths and set my intentions for the rest of the night. At that moment I was able to clear my mind and feel at ease.

After that day, I’ve made it a habit to clear my mind, say my positive affirmations, and set my intentions before I get moving. This is my way of keeping myself in check. How do I feel today? How do I want to feel? What do I want to accomplish? You CAN accomplish it! This simple change in my routine is what I needed on this journey.
